Smart invoicing without worries: how Baker Tilly and Cashfeed strengthen each other
Jun 6, 2025

It is a familiar scenario for many entrepreneurs: the end of the quarter approaches, and suddenly the search for receipts, missing invoices, and forgotten transactions begins. Time-consuming, error-prone and often quite frustrating.
That administration becomes even more important in the coming months. From 2026, e-invoicing via Peppol will be mandatory for all Belgian businesses.
The need for smart and scalable digital solutions is therefore great. Baker Tilly anticipates this by collaborating with technology partners who truly make an impact. The recent collaboration with the fast-growing Ghent startup Cashfeed is a prime example of this.
Cashfeed: simplicity, speed, and overview thanks to AI
Cashfeed developed an e-invoicing tool that fully automates the entire invoicing process – from receipt and processing to payment and linking with accounting software – through artificial intelligence. The software automatically collects invoices from, among other sources, mailboxes and bank accounts, processing them at lightning speed. Bank transactions are read and matched, payments are tracked, and all documents remain centrally available. Invoices can be approved with a single click. Managing the entire administration proceeds up to ten times faster.
According to co-founder Stijn Heuninck, the tool addresses a very recognizable frustration among entrepreneurs: “In my previous startup, I often worked late gathering receipts. Everything came together at the end of the month, causing unnecessary stress. With Cashfeed, we want to alleviate exactly that pain point.”
The tool was designed to be quick and intuitive to use. Entrepreneurs can get started in three simple steps:
Connect the inbox and apps
Link the bank account
Share information with the accountant
Baker Tilly as a sounding board and catalyst
Baker Tilly supports Cashfeed with strategic advice. It also actively tests the tool with clients. The collaboration was established through StarApps, a Ghent startup studio that Baker Tilly has successfully partnered with for some time. “We have been working together with Baker Tilly for a long time and have built a strong bond of trust. They are a partner we are happy to introduce to our startups,” says Lorenz Bogaert, CEO of StarApps. “Cashfeed fits perfectly within our growing digitalization story. Today, consulting firms still spend too much time reminding clients to submit receipts or VAT returns on time. A solution like Cashfeed offers direct added value: entrepreneurs are fully unburdened, while we can focus more on our advisory role,” continues Steff Siau, Partner and certified tax accountant at Baker Tilly.
This substantive involvement is crucial for the further development of the platform, they also notice at Cashfeed: “The innovative character of Baker Tilly closely aligns with our own ambitions. By 2030, we want to be strong internationally, in line with the European ViDA regulations. It is then important to collaborate with a partner who is not only strong locally but also internationally anchored.”
Together building the digital accountant of tomorrow
The initial results are already promising: since the launch in April, Cashfeed has already gained hundreds of clients. Baker Tilly continues to build that growth—not as a classic consultant, but as a real partner.
That may well be the greatest strength of this collaboration: technology and experience, innovation and insight, which complement and strengthen each other. Together, Baker Tilly and Cashfeed are building a future in which entrepreneurs can refocus on what they love to do: running a business. Without hassle.
